Confidential Accusations

If you suspect a violation has occurred but do not want your name to be known to the student you are accusing, please use our Confidential Accusation Form. Be aware, because of the nature of confidential accusations, your name and information will be known by Honor Council Officers and the case investigator. Additionally, accusers will not receive updates on the case (as to prevent conflicts of interest and personal bias).

The Council Passed this amendment to reflect the long-standing tradition of the Rice Honor Code to include students in its creation and legacy. The Code is based on mutual trust between not only students and faculty but also between the students themselves. Thus, the Council passed the Confidential Accusation Procedure to allow students to report suspected honor code misconduct while keeping their name shielded from the accused student(s) to the greatest extent possible.
